About this tour

White roads, family wineries, lunch on a terrace above the vines.

An unhurried day along the strade bianche of the Chianti Classico region, where every bend opens onto a new postcard. We leave Florence at the cool of the morning, climbing the Strada Chiantigiana and entering vineyard country within minutes.

This is the slow Tuscany — coffee in the piazza, conversations with the cellar master, lunch served by the family who farms the grapes. You ride, we take care of the rest.

Itinerary

From Florence and back, passing through…

A suggested route. Every itinerary can be adapted to your pace, your appetite and the weather of the day.

  1. 01

    Florence

Morning briefing, coffee and route check at our base in Piazzetta Montalcino. Helmets fitted, engines warmed, off we go.

  2. 02

    Strada Chiantigiana (SR222)

The road that wrote the Chianti story. Cypress avenues, stone walls and the first views over the hills of Sangiovese.

  3. 03

    Greve in Chianti

First stop at the heart of Chianti. We wander the porticoes of Piazza Matteotti and visit a small enoteca for a quick tasting of the local terroir.

  4. 04

    Castellina in Chianti

A medieval village perched on the ridge. Walk the Via delle Volte — a covered tunnel carved into the city walls with windows opening on the valley.

  5. 05

    Lunch at a winery

We arrive at a family-run estate for lunch on the terrace: salumi, pecorino, fresh pasta and a guided tasting of three of their best labels.

  6. 06

    Radda in Chianti

The afternoon belongs to the quieter roads. Radda is small, quiet, perfectly preserved. A short walk and a coffee under the loggia.

  7. 07

    Return to Florence

We take the slower way back, descending through olive groves and dropping into Florence just before the golden hour.
